WKMSO 는 연관된 여러 단체들과 의대생들 그리고 의사들을 연결시키는 가지와 뿌리 역할을 합니다. WKMSO 와 WKMO 를 통해 세계 곳곳에 계시는 한인의사선생님들에게 멘토링을 받을 수 있습니다.
WKMSO will act as branches and roots to "connect" you to other organizations, students and doctors, by compiling a database, updating social media and coordinating mentoring programs with doctors.
EMPOWER
WKMSO 는 의대생들이 주체성을 확립할 수 있도록 돕는 성장의 통로가 될 수 있습니다. 저희 단체의 자원과 경험으로 동료 의대생들을 도울 수 있습니다. 여러 다른 나라의 레지던트 프로그램에 대한 정보를 공유하여 국제적인 연구나 국제학회에 참여할 수 있는 기회가 있습니다.
WKMSO will act as a growth channel for your self-empowerment by sharing our resources and experiences to help fellow colleagues. This includes resources on elective and residency programs in different countries and providing opportunities for research and participation in international conferences.
OUTREACH
WKMSO 는 세계 각지의 한인회와 연계하여 교육적인 사회봉사활동을 하고 있습니다. 지역주민들과 재외한인들에게 여러 질병에 대한 일차예방을 교육함으로써 우리 의대생들의 삶이 변할뿐만 아니라 도움이 필요한 공동체에게 스스로 설 수 있는 힘을 기르게 할 수 있습니다.
WKMSO will endeavor to provide an interactive community education outreach program that will over time aid in developing greater levels of primary prevention for various preventable diseases. Together, we can not only make a difference to our lives as students but we can also make a difference to marginalized communities by providing them with the tools they need to help themselves.
ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
WKMSO 세계한인의대생연합회는 한인이라는 정체성을 가진 의대생들의 국제적인 네트워크입니다. 2009년에 KUMSA 라는 이름으로 창립되었다가 2013년부터 WKMO 세계한인의사회의 연계와 함께 WKMSO 로 개명되었습니다.
The World Korean Medical Students' Organization (WKMSO) is a global network for medical students with Korean heritage. It was originally established in 2009 under the name of Korean United Medical Students' Association (KUMSA) and it has recently re-developed into WKMSO.
저희 단체는 기존의 지역 모임을 재구성하는 것이 아니라 현존하는 단체들이 교류하고, 한인의대생들이 다른 나라의 의대생들과 자유롭게 만나 효과적으로 연합을 이룰 수 있는 협력의 장이 되고자합니다.
Our organization does not seek to restructure existing regional associations, but strives to provide a platform where existing organizations can come together to interact with fellow Korean medical students from abroad. The network is not to be a dictating body over activities but rather serve as a utility that regional organizations can employ to achieve effective unity.
WKMSO 는 C, E, O 라는 세가지 비전이 있습니다. 한인의대생들을 연결하고 (Connect), 우리들의 주체성을 확립하고 (Empower), 사회에서 봉사하는 (Outreach) 활동을 돕고자 합니다.
WKMSO has 3 visions: C, E, O or Connect, Empower and Outreach.
WKMSO 가 나무라면, 한인의대생 각각은 열매이자 나뭇잎입니다.
